Wanna know something crazy about me? When it comes to big life decisions I’m super quick. After my first date with Brian, I called my mom and told her with absolute certainty that he was the man I would marry! But when it comes to small choices like walking into a nail salon or rummaging in my polish bin for a color I’m frozen with indecision. It could take days for me to choose!
I’ve finally found a strategy that helps me to decide, and it’s right out of Marie Kondo’s brilliant play book. Choose polish what brings you JOY! Just like other beauty products, nail polish can lift your mood. I was inspired by Taylor Swifts rainbow colored “Era’s Tour” nails, but wanted to make the look my own. I decided to go with 5 of my Beauty and the Bright Side brand colors. I knew that these colors made me smile, and that they worked well together. A win win!

Here are 4 tips for choosing colors that will give you all the positive vibes.
Choosing a variety of colors to put on your nails can be a way to mix things up and add interest, even if you don’t have a steady hand or artists eye.
My Favorite Polishes

Quick Dry Formulas
I adore a quick dry formula. These are by far my favorite because I get so antsy and constantly feel the need to get stuff done. If only I could just sit still and relax. Such is mom life. Anyone else feel the same?
I digress! These polishes dry quickly but I don’t need to sacrifice the pigment and streak free shine.
Olive and June Quick Dry in the Shade Pointe
The exact color of Parker’s ballet tights, but this glossy color goes on way more easily. It has an impressive color pay off for such a light shade. This one is a neutral, grown up pink.
Essie Expressie in the Shade Express to Impress
A true mint green; bright and happy without being too dark or neon. Like the Olive and June formula this one only needs one or two coats to give a consistent finish. Very impressive!
Sally Hanson Insta-Dri in the Shade Peachy Breeze
A mid-tone coral color. Like a mango and a pink grapefruit had a juicy, tropical baby! One of the happiest colors in the rainbow in my humble opinion. This formula is great and super affordable!
Traditional Polish Formula
Olive and June in the Shade Besties
A sophisticated, yet cheerful deep green color. Think Christmas trees and Perrier bottles. This formula is smooth as silk and has a great brush. Only one or two coats needed on this one as well.
Plant Based Formula
Nailtopia in the Shade Sol Glow
An upbeat true yellow. This color can have a bit of patchiness or streaking, but nothing that can’t be fixed by adding an extra coat. If you are a fan of vegan beauty products this is a good option. Another thing that drew me to this brand is the adorable Disney collaboration that they have! Be sure to check that out as well!
Let me know what kinds of polishes you love! Are you as indecisive and impatient as I am when it comes to nail colors? Can’t wait to hear from y’all in the comments.
