I met Madalyn after a search for a branding photographer led me to her gorgeous website https://madalynyatesphotography.com/ Once I saw her work I knew that this was the photographer for me. Her work has a beautiful, classic style but reveals the personality and brand identity of the subject in a way that really comes alive and tells a story.

It was such a pleasure working with her on the plans for the photoshoot. She has a process that really makes you think about what your brand is and how you can best express it. Making a mood board and collaborating on ideas really helped me to understand Beauty and the Bright Side more than ever before. Not only is Madalyn incredibly talented, she is kind. She made me feel totally comfortable and we became fast friends. She brought along her amazing friend/assistant Hannah who made the experience even more fun!

As much as I could go on and on about the photoshoot, I am really here to tell y’all about Madalyn’s brilliant project. It’s called Portrait’s of Her, and the goal is to lift up and empower women. The idea is brilliant! She asked women within her beautiful community to write a few paragraphs about their story and she paired it with a black and white photograph that she created. From there, Madalyn compiled a magical book of women and their stories. I am so honored to have been included!
